UCD Breakout Research Presents: Human Rights in Focus
Studio Theatre, dlr LexIcon
Tuesday 24 October, 6.30pm
Where does Ireland stand on human rights? And how do we compare globally? We don’t have the death penalty, but
this continues to be practiced elsewhere. We don’t associate Female Genital Mutilation with Ireland, but doctors here need
training to treat patients who have undergone this procedure. Human rights require continuing debate, and Ireland has a role
in shaping the discussion on an international level. Come along at 6:30pm on 24th October to take part and learn more: listen, debate and engage with UCD researchers in Criminology, Medicine and Law leading brief talks followed by plenty of group discussion.
Booking via Eventbrite.
