Event Description

G-BOOK - Gender Identity: Child Readers and Library Collections

Level 5, Room 4 1-31 August

This is a Creative Europe project that aims to discover, explore and promote literature that enables young readers (from the age of 3 to 10) to reflect on their identities and, in their own time, question stereotypes, bias and perceived norms around gender. The project, (June 2017 - December 2018) brings together specialists working in children’s literature, gender studies, translation studies, library science and education from six partner organisations: Dublin City University, University of Bologna, University of Paris 13, University of Vigo, City Library of Sarajevo, and Regional Library of Veliko Tarnovo (Bulgaria).
